Painted in 2010 in memory of Peter Brook and his dog Shep.

When Peter’s much loved dog Shep passed away Peter painted  Walking Without The Dog in memory. I think of Peter and Shep now reunited and now able to walk together again.

About the picture

I had gone to visit Jack one wet January to collect some of his latest paintings  to frame. Over a cup of tea I noticed a picture I had not seen before, I was sure the dog in the picture looked like Shep, the artist Peter Brooks dog, you cant mistake the red collar and the distinctive V shape on the back. Jack told me he was  a big fan of Peter’s work and had painted a kind of tribute in memory of picture of Peter and Shep, Although Jack was not too keen I finally persuaded him to let me take a print of the original to sell. We agreed on a small print run of 50
