Clocks
As well as my passion for local artwork, I am a big fan of wall clocks. The wall clocks I love are the clocks from the 1900’s the old school and railway clocks, love the mechanical workings the sound of the tick. Also the metamec clocks from the 60’s and 70’s a wonderful quality British made clock, good design, why have retro style when you can have the real thing.
We will soon be selling a small range of retro vintage clocks as well as some new reproduction versions.
Metamec Clocks
Metamec was a manufacturer of domestic clocks in the second half of the 20th century, and was based in Dereham, Norfolk, England. The name “Metamec” is derived from “metal-work and mechanics”. The company started as an offshoot of the furniture manufacturers Jentique, which made boxes for instruments and bombs during World War II.
