‘The Smithy’ a small traditional Gallery & Framers situated by Town Head Bridge in the beautiful village of Kettlewell centrally located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The business is owned by Carl & Lynne who bought the shop autumn 2004.
In the years since that time ‘The Smithy’ has evolved from a gift shop of trinkets and souvenirs selling to the passing tourist trade into a Quality Art Gallery offering Dales inspired artwork by local artists; prints, limited edition prints, hand embellished and original artwork as well as locally sourced quality gifts.
Carl spends all his time working in the shop, his enthusiasm for the Dales, local artwork apparent; his friendly ‘can do’ attitude offers a big Yorkshire welcome to shop, and if you’re lucky he may even offer you a coffee! Watch out for his west riding humour though!!
Lynne works full time at the local Johnson & Johnson site, a partner in ‘The Smithy’ she supports Carl with all the major business decisions and prepares the annual accounts.
